Team Leader Job Summary

Stratosphere Quality is seeking a Team Leader – Quality Inspection to support operations at a manufacturing battery plant in Liberty, NC. This role is responsible for leading a team of Quality Inspectors and ensuring all inspection, sorting, and containment activities meet customer and company standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, startup environment requiring flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to changing production demands.

Pay Rate: $18.00ph
Schedule: Flexible / Project-Based Hours (Day Shift)

Schedule & Work Expectations

• Initial project phase requires 8–12 hour shifts per day
• Schedule may include Monday through Sunday, based on customer needs
• Days off will vary during startup operations
• Once the project stabilizes:
  • Transition to standard 8-hour shifts
  • Overtime available as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of Quality Inspectors
• Assign tasks and monitor team productivity and performance
• Ensure all inspection and sorting activities meet quality standards
• Communicate effectively with site leadership and customers
• Train and onboard new employees on processes and safety procedures
• Enforce company policies and safety guidelines
• Complete required documentation, reporting, and data entry
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Manufacturing, quality, or production experience preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced and changing environments
• High attention to detail and accountability
• Flexible schedule with ability to work extended hours as needed
